In 1.6 with wallbanging (and tagging), any player who decides to peek without some type of advantage like a flash, you were at risk of getting tagged behind a wall (making you unable to run away) and sprayed down so low that youd have to commit in the fire fight, or reposition yourself due to massive damage taken. The reward is easy map knowledge and the risk is almost gone as a enemy would have to land an impressive headshot to kill you in most cases. Basically you can easily get info by jumping, peeking a corner, or peeking with your head on those neck high boxes everywhere on d2. Right now, in csgo you can jump peek without risk. I actually think making consistent wall banging would really help this game's randomness and raise the skill ceiling back up for individuals. Even if all the above were made better, it still wouldn't be worth it as the amount of damage dealt is so pitifully for most weapons. The damage output really needs working on and increased fairly. 9/10 on most maps you would need to be standing in the open and not near cover, just waiting for a running pistol to 1 shot you (yes I am pissed about the pistols too lol). A thin plaster wall on one map shouldn't have different values to another map.Īlso, the whole angle at which you shoot through an object/material affects damage output, needs removing, its stupid to need to stand perpendicular to it for it to even penetrate sometimes. Like every material/object, or similar to, should have the same pen values on every map. The way it works also makes it not viable too. Right now everything seems to be made out of diamonds or paper. I hate comparing video games to real life, but as far as penetration through materials/objects go, I think CSGO needs to be a bit more realistic.
